  The following statement which was NOT in the original letter, was added into the talk - clearly from the Branch to the CoBE:

  "PLEASE NOTE, FUNDS RECEIVED FOR THIS PROGRAM WILL FORM PART OF OUR GENERAL FUNDS, RATHER THAN A RESTRICTED FUND."

  In other words, we can use your money for ANYTHING, so don't start moaning when you hear that we are using your donations to hire expensive worldly lawyers and paying out million$ to paedophile victims!!! And don't even mention our Hedge Fund investments - we know what we're doing!!

  leaving the university with my degree!.

  exams are finished and it's just a matter of days before i walk.. i was certainly stressed about doing this.

  so proclaimed the brother that read the wt letter tonight that explained the new kingdom hall funding arrangement.. everyone in the hall claps .... well, like it was the last talk on the district convention.. he says 'what bank would wipe out a debt of $200,000 ???

  "I no longer want to be 'Bloodguilty'"

  i have been thinking of a simple one liner to use when challenged as to why i dont seem to be an "active / good" witness.... "i no longer wish to be considered as 'bloodguilty' thanks" and leave it at that.. if said in a dignified, (not in a smart arse way), then i think this may make people see that my desicion is a sound one based on logic and not emotion..... thoughts?.

  What's Your Scenario For The Watchtower Corporation's Business Future? Will They Survive Much Longer In This Information Age?

  the internet a marvel of modern science, mass communication, information at your finger tips is transforming peoples lives.

  but alas the whole thing took the governing body by surprise as they continued to pin their hopes on childishly magical and wishful thinking bible interpetations.. the train has left the station and the governing body are just now comming to terms with it(the internet), while they still demonize it for its freeing power, and plethora of information that doesn't fit with their narrow world view they must still navigate a path that includes or give some recognition to this information source now becomming availible to all all over the world.. how will the watchtower survive all this and still be directed by a bunch of delusional old and odd geezers is beyound me to comprehend.

  the bible does say that and it did end up happening.

  rutherford dropped that teaching about 5 years i think before it actually happened.

  not only from the bank accounts of the sheep, but soon after from the bulk of money in kingdom hall accounts worldwide!.

  question: has anyone calculated how much cash could be grabbed from the 113,823 congregations on earth?.

  Frankie - I agree. I think KH closures have got to take place as bums on seats and donations dwindle to unacceptable levels.

  JW GONEBAD - Only the hardcore will not be affected, because of their loyalty to the FDS. But many will stop contributing and just suffer in silence.

  However, when the Magnificent 7 forces direct payment of donations via publishers' bank accounts, that's when the sheep will scatter!

  Still, the G.B. has initiated Plan B:

  JW.ORG will be as effective/ineffective as d2d work, with a helluva huge cost saving on literature. Having siphoned off KH bank accounts worldwide and received a guaranteed revenue stream from the pledges of hardcore JW's, they will have more money than they need for a reduced & streamlined organization.

  its plain as day what jesus said was to those people standing in fornt of him and it was for one generation only .the prophecies were not about the end of the world but the end of the old jewish system of things.

  why do people today since the 1700s put themselves in the shoes of the ones jesus was talking to.

  i quote "trtuly i tell you, some of you standing here will not die until you see the son of man coming in his kingdom".

  COLD STEEL SAID - "Sorry...I can't buy into the preterist theology" (PRETERIST - a person who maintains that the prophecies in the Apocalypse have already been fulfilled)

  I was referring to Matthew 24, not Revelation (the APOCALYPSE).

  When Jesus spoke to people, he said "THIS generation". (referring to those listening!) He did not say "THAT generation", pointing to the 21st century or beyond!

  (Matthew 24:34-35) "Truly I say to YOU that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away."

  Despite the fact that the Org has hijacked Matthew 24:14 as its mantra and rallying call to get the sheep to do its bidding, (and generate income and free labor for itself!) the truth is, that by 60-61 C.E. the apostle Paul wrote to the Colossians - "that good news which YOU heard, and which was preached in all creation that is under heaven. Of this [good news] I Paul became a minister." A few months later, the end came for the Jewish system of things - the generation saw the prophecy fulfilled, just as Jesus had told them they would!

  Revelation - now that's a different ball-game altogether!
